SOLD - 1940 MERCURY STREET ROD COUPE

CHECK OUT THE NEW PRICE

I drove this nice rod home about 60 miles on a 80 + day and it was great. Very solid and good handling with no rattles. It was great having A/C too. I would recommend a cruising fan for slow driving on a hot day. I think it’s a good idea on any rod. I did drive it in traffic and long lights, the temp. gauge went up but never acted like it was over heating. This car was built in Tucson AZ. 1958 Chevy 283 engine runs great with a 350 Turbo automatic transmission. Mustang II Front clip. Power steering. Front disc brakes. Louvered hood. It’s an older restoration showing some use. I like the purple color and red flames. Interior is gray cloth and nicely finished. This will make someone a great driver. We did the service and safety check, everything was fine except it now has a new master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders and shoes. They also flushed the cooling system and filled it with new coolant. VIN tag is on the left door pillar and your state may require bonding? Check out all the photos and you will find an info. sheet on the car giving you much more information. When was the last time you saw a ’40 Merc? Come take a look, you will not be disappointed. Cond # 3.
