1961 CHEVROLET CORVETTE ROADSTER. Very nice Corvette. Fun to drive. I’m an old guy so I like driving with the automatic transmission. The 283 runs very well with a recent performance rebuild. Rebuilt radiator, carburetor, generator, starter, drive-line and rear end. Overhauled front end and rebuilt the steering box and brakes. Rebuilt gauge cluster. New exhaust system, fuel sending unit and fuel wiring harness. Rebuilt top, bow assembly with a new convertible top and front and rear latches. The Wonderbar radio was rebuilt but the Wonderbar part no longer works. This Vette looks sharp with white body and silverblue cove. Chrome is very good. Body looks great with the normal small cracks you find in a Corvette and you have to look for them. Engine compartment sparkles. Trunk is clean and nice. I have driven the Vette over 60 miles so far. The heater works great. I believe this has the original engine but because the Vette has a Washington assigned vin tag I can not match the #’s. The engine #110152F0424DG is correct for a 1961 Vette with an automatic transmission. Casting #3756519 is correct for 1961 also. When I first drove the Vette I noticed the temp gauge went up. Looking into it we found a 4 blade fan. We installed the correct 5 blade and fan clutch and it now runs cool. The tach does not read correctly. It’s all serviced, safety checked and ready for your driving pleasure. #2-.
