454 Big Block Fun

This is a frame off restoration. Now has 153 miles on restoration and I have driven it over 100 miles. Big block 454 Chevy engine that is rebuilt. Turbo 400 transmission. Mustang II front suspension. 11” power disc brakes on the front. Power steering. Tilt steering column. Camaro rear end. The frame is boxed in the front. It really looks good. Nice two-tone paint. Chrome grill. Chrome front bumper. Lowered in the front. The wood bed looks good but not showy. Late-model painted rear bumper that gives it a nice look. I think you’ll like the interior. I drove this pickup over and back from Old School Garage and it’s a great driver. Has highway gearing which works well with this big block, otherwise you would be spinning the tires all the time. Joe found the radiator had problems so he installed a brand-new 4 core aluminum radiator with a thermostatically controlled electric cooling fan. We had the seat reupholstered with matching door panels, it looks great. I did not like the gas pedal so Joe found a better solution. The carpets were cut up so we installed new carpeting. This is a good-looking truck and everyone gives you the thumbs up. I look forward to driving it more. Cond 2-.
