1966 Ford Mustang Fastback DGC8207 VIN 6T09C158207 This Mustang is a red-over-red fastback that underwent a cosmetic and mechanical refresh under previous ownership with an exterior repaint and an overhaul of it's 289ci V8 engine The 289ci was bored .030″ over with replacement pistons during the rebuild. C4 three-speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with 14″ steel wheels, power steering, a four-barrel Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock F4B intake manifold, original AM radio that does not work., a heater, and vent windows. After an extended period of storage, and subsequent work involved re-trimming the interior along with replacement of the head gaskets, freeze plugs, water pump, radiator ( aluminum ), and ignition components. The car left the factory finished in Candyapple Red (T), and the man I bought it from states that it was repainted under previous ownership following repair and replacement of various body panels. Exterior details include rear sail-panel louvers, vent windows, polished rocker trim, and Mustang tri-bar fender badges. A spot of burned-through paint is noted on top of the driver's door, the bright work has dings and wear, and the sail-panel louvers are cracked. The 14″ steel wheels wear Mustang-branded hubcaps and are mounted with a mix of 195/75 thin-whitewall tires. The car is equipped with Monroe shocks, while stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums brakes. Work performed reportedly included rebuilding the wheel cylinders along with replacing the power steering pump and the brake shoes, drums, and lines. The front bucket seats and split rear bench were reupholstered in red vinyl by the seller and are accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard along with a replacement headliner, door panels, sun visors, and carpets.. The replacement three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer along with supplementary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles. We are selling it unknown. The underside has been painted. The warranty number reveals that the car was built at the Metuchen, New Jersey, assembly plant with a 289ci V8 topped with a two-barrel carburetor. This is a beautiful Mustang and the paint really looks great. It runs well. I was not happy with the front end. it is not bad but it's now being rebuilt. That will make it a really nice car to drive. We believe that at sometime in it's life, it was damaged in both the front and rear, and it looks like they did a very good job of restoring it.
