1949 CHEVROLET 5 WINDOW PICKUP

Excellant Really Nice Pickup What a great truck. I found this freshly restored pickup in Boise Idaho. This pickup has been a Idaho truck its whole life. Now has a rebuilt 235 six-cylinder engine with a split exhaust system. Stock floor shifter, 4 speed transmission. An interesting thing on this Chevy pickup it has a Ford rear end that gives you a higher gear ratio for freeway driving. To go along with making that freeway drive feel good is brand-new radial tires. Steel wheels with Chevy chrome caps and chrome beauty rings help set the truck off. The truck was stripped and repainted. New wood bed. Beautiful chrome grill and bumpers. The seat has been re-upholstered. When I 1st looked at it I just thought it was a striped pattern, but when you really look at it, it is the Chevy bowtie pattern. The headliner is all new. Personally I did not like how the dash is painted in a flat black but a good friend thought it looked great. This is a radio delete pickup. It is now converted to 12 volts so it would be easy to add a good sound system. The heater works well. Has turned signals. I have looked this pickup over very well and I could not find any signs of rust or rust repair. The cab corners have their drain holes. Has a spare tire under the pickup bed. The engine compartment is clean. I have done hundreds of these pickups over the years and Im not sure that Ive ever seen one with the vacuum windshield washer bottle. This is very rare. I have driven this pickup several miles on and off the freeway, its a great driver. This is really an outstanding pick up. Condition # 2.
