1949 Chevrolet 5 window 3100 Pickup. 4 On The Floor

Great Solid Good driving PU to enjoy for a long time This is a real nice stock PU. 216 cu.in. Straight 6 cylinder engine. This is the original engine and the vin # AA3409 is on the bock. 4 speed manual transmission. Chrome wheels with radial tires so it handles fine. The PU was sold in Palm Springs California in 2011. It came to the northwest and ended up on Lopez Island. Jack, the owner, wanted to drive it in the Lopez Island parade 2012 but the day before he had a U-joint let go, and he did not get to drive it. I bought it on Lopez from Jack's Estate and drove it to the ferry, all the time thinking how nice this PU drives and that Jack did not get to enjoy it. This was his dream truck. I got some receipts back to 2002. This has a great body. The paint is old but looks very good you will find some minor imperfections. We found a very small rust spot on the underside but I would have to tell this is as close a rust free truck as you will find. And the underside is very clean. We have talked about the color and have come up with Lt. Carmel. I like it as it sets it off from other Chevy PU's. Interior is nice and has a cloth headliner. Does not have a heater or a radio. It is still 6 volts. The wipers work. The PU has turn signals. Wood bed looks good. We just installed a new battery. You will be real happy owning and driving it. I drove it to Old School Garage in Port Orchard so Joe could do the service and safety check. Joe installed a new head light switch, replaced leaky engine gaskets and got it running a lot better. I have driven it about 150 miles so far. It makes a great run around PU and you can take it to the Sunday show. It runs and drives well and when I'm driving it I receive lots of waves. Cond. #3 +.
