1965 Ford Ranchero 289 V-8

Driver Ranchero

289 V-8 3 speed.  This Ranchero came from Story, Wy. It ended up in Montana before coming to Washington State in 2013 where I bought it. I'm always looking for '64 and '65 Rancheros ever since I missed one 20 years ago. This is a driver quality PU. It's good and straight and it looks like a Maaco paint job that was not cut and buffed. A little wet sanding may improve the look. The interior is decent (but it's 3 colors).  Someone has redone part of the interior but didn't redo the seats in red but in black. I drove it to Old School Garage for it's service and safety check. It really did not need much.  I knew it needed new motor mounts and the shift linkage needed attention. That is one of the good things about driving the 40 + miles to Old School, I really get a chance to see what needs to be worked on, if anything.  This Ranchero came with a 3 speed on the column but someone installed a floor shifter and not one of the best ones. Do not shift fast. Joe got the shift linkage adjusted and it works a lot better. New tie rod end installed. Also the new motor mounts.  Now it really drives well. It has rust on the underside that has been patched. Make sure you look at the photos and video. When we did the video we used the Bondo checker and I was impressed about the lack of rust.  You can drive it now, and restore it if you want.  5 chrome wheels with almost new tires. Cond # 3-.

We charge a $50.00 doc fee for instate and $100.00 doc fee for out of state sales on top of the selling price. The State of Washington says we can charge up to $150.00 doc fee that is negotiable. The doc fees cover costs such as trip permits and FedEx costs.

We sell all of our vehicles     AS IS, NO WARRANTY.     We check them over, we do a report card and we grade and decode  each vehicle.  We have them serviced and safety checked.  You can see these reports on our web page www.dragers.com    We try very hard to tell you everything that we know.  We give you lots of photos and video so you can see the vehicles very well. We have been in classic sales for more than 30 years.

Drager’s believes that it is very important to personally inspect the vehicle you are interested in.  If you cannot inspect it yourself you should hire an inspector.  Here are two very knowledgeable old car appraisers you can contact.
