1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air Sports Coupe

Great unrestored Chevy hard top This Bel-Air was sold new at Hailey Chevrolet in Chattanooga, Tenn.  I have the original bill of sale and complete list of all the owners. It still has it's Hailey Chevrolet license frame on the front. Has to tell you this '57 has led a good life. You get a big ring binder with all the owners listed.  It shows that 2 months after It sold new it moved to California and was there a number of years before coming to Washington. I took the '57 in trade and he owned it since 2001. The interior is beautiful every thing looks great. Has a radio in the glove box and the bill for the radio is in the binder. It runs very well. Looks to be the original 2 barrel 283 V-8 engine with single exhaust. The chrome is very good. The paint however is in need of attention. Lots of chips and scratches all over. I know you look at the photos and it looks great but if you get close it's not. I took photos of the bad spots too. I'm really thinking about painting it. We took it out to our painter so if you want it painted, figure $10,000 more for our painter to do it. It will look like show quality then. I have to tell you the body is very straight and no signs of rust till we got it up on the hoist and I found on the right side on the inside rocker a small area with some minor rust, check out the photos. There is not much in the way of dirt buildup on the underside. When you look at all the underside photos remember we have not done one thing to it it's just the way we got it. The metal in the trunk looks excellent and with no signs of rust. Brand new wide white spare tire plus the jack and lug wrench. We will still do the service and safety check before selling. It needs some minor things done that we will do when it's serviced. Like it needs a new heater core and a turn signal canceler. Make sure to look at all the photos, over 120 in all. You may have to go to dragers.com to see them. You will have a lot of fun owning this '57 and even though it has some bad paint spots mostly you don't notice them. Everyone asks me about the '57 and how nice it is. Cond # 3. ( Paint issues )
