1931 Ford model A 2 Door Sedan

1931 Ford model A 2 Door Sedan. DGC2493 VIN 4462493. This model A is in outstanding condition. It has been in a private collection for 40 years. (We sold it about 2 years ago to one of our very good customers and he traded it in on our beautiful '39 Ford Phaeton.) And before that It had been sitting inside for some time waiting for a soldier to return from Vietnam. He did not come home. That is when Dave bought it in 1973 and added it to his collection. So you know it's always inside never driven much. That is why I have not found any rust. The body is very straight.  The paint is not show but looks good. Black fenders and dark maroon paint. You will find some nicks and scratches but not much. It runs good. This is a late model “A”. In the records I got is a bill of sale in 1973 for $400.00, the original hand book, and receipts in 1973 showing the body being sand blasted.  So I now know that David did a complete frame off restoration. Not a lot of receipts, and the prices… now those were the days!  David died 2013.  Stan bought the Model A from the estate. I have receipts from last year where Stan went through it getting it up and running again. I love Model A's  I bought one many years ago that had been sitting in not the best place for 30 years. It took maybe 4 hours and it was running. Model A's always run. Stan sold it to me.  When we bought it the vin # on the engine did not match the title so we believe it's not the original engine. Andrew lifted the body and took a photo of the vin # and it matches up fine with the title. Like I said earlier we have had it up on the hoist and no rust could we find. Now that is hard to find.  1931 Ford model A 2 Door Sedan.     Cond. # 2 -.
