1934 Ford
Deluxe
Sold
1934 Ford 5 window Coupe. DGC3051. VIN 1143051. Same owner for 50 years. It is all stock except for having hydraulic brakes which is a very good update. It is a total restoration and it's all Henry Ford steel. Only had 17 miles on it when I bought it. The second time he started the '34 after the restoration it smoked really badly according to the owner. He shut it off 13 plus years ago and never touched it again. What I think he thought was smoke was actually water vapor? Andrew and I took our trailer and picked up the '34 and took it to Joe, at Old School Garage, so he could get it running. Joe did not know what to expect so he moved slowly. Ended up pulling both heads and the oil pan. Engine was like new. Joe replaced wheel cylinders and master cylinder. Cleaned the fuel system, went through the carb. Along the way he found out it needed a new coil, so now it runs and drives great. Also installed new Coker wide-whitewall tires. The old ones were really old. The head lights are not correct. He told me that when he started the restoration it had a tear on the right front fender that he welded. Had another spot on the right side of the body that he cut out and welded new metal in. I found it with my bondo checker and a couple of other spots. Very minor on all spots most were at 1/16th deep and one was 1/8th. He did not tell me about the floor pan on the right side in the trunk. Not really sure what happened but it was replaced, you can see it in the photos and video. This is not a show car but it's very straight and looks good. You will find some small scratches mostly on the left rear fender. Now has 170 miles and I have driven it the most. We just rebuilt the starter motor.
