1936 CADILLAC LA SALLE COUPE

ONE FAMILY OWNED This is one beautiful classic car. There is some thing about driving these great classics cars they have a feel all there own. Maybe its that long hood or the feel of the engine you just know they are something special. LaSalle was a brand name of automobile made by General Motors from 1927 through 1940. It functioned as the Cadillacs companion carsmaller, less-expensive, but still up-market. Sold exclusively through Cadillac dealers. The dark blue paint shines and the chrome sparkles. The wide whites just set it off. This is a car you will not see many of. In 1936 Cadillac produced 1,175 two passenger LaSalle coupes. Im not even sure when the last time was that I saw a LaSalle. I took it to the Cadillac picnic and their was one other LaSalle there, a 4 door. The LaSalle came with a straight 8 cylinder engine. 3 speed trans. This car came out of a family collection of cars in Montana. Robert just sold off 6 of his cars which I bought 2 of them. This was aunt Jennys car. She bought it new in Granger, Wyoming. One interesting about this car, it has a stock radio, but in Wyoming they could not get radio reception so Cadillac built a one of a kind antenna for this car. It reminds me of Flash Gordon its one of the first things you see when you view the LaSalle. The radio works. 61,604 actual miles. Robert rebuilt the engine and restored the LaSalle. That was 1975 and now has about 500 miles since. This is one solid car. The underside is very good and clean. I was impressed. There is some paint deterioration and some minor dents you have to look for after 30 years. The chrome still looks new. Its great to get a complete history of ownership. They are very concerned that they go to good homes. The fact that it had not been driven much in the last 30 years Gilmour Automotive did an excellent job of making sure that it it runs and drives very well. #3++ cond looks like a 2.
