1947 Chevrolet 3100 5 Window Custom Pick-up. DGT7636 VIN-EBA567636. V-8, Automatic, Power Disc brakes on the front and drums on the rear, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Fan, Electric Door Poppers. This is an awesome 1/2 ton 5 window street rod pickup. The truck has had a lot of work done to it and it is a long way from stock original condition. It has beautiful metallic gold paint with nice pin striping. The grill is painted in a lighter color to contrast the body paint. There are several custom features on the body like shaved door handles, custom head and tail lights and rolled rear pan. In my opinion the neatest change is the tilt forward hood. The original frame was replaced with a Chevy S-10 frame and has disc brakes and independent suspension up front. It is running a small block 350 that has lots of power. The transmission is a 700R4 overdrive automatic. The 350 engine has lots of chrome and looks great when you tilt the hood open. It has leather bucket seats with an armrest in between that could be folded up and another person could sit there. There is something about the seat arrangement that gives a lot more room, it may be something as small as the seats being higher. It's just very comfortable. This may be the best seating arrangement I've seen in one of these trucks. The door panels and headliner are wrapped in vinyl and look great. The truck still has the cowl vent, but it also has a rear sliding glass for lots of airflow through the cab. The oak wood in the bed is done nicely with a light stain. The truck sits nicely on 17” Special Edition American Racing wheels. There are a few small scratches in the paint that aren't noticeable until you really look the truck over, but they are there. I have driven this truck a few miles down Interstate 5 and I really enjoyed everything about it. It has a great sound, feels good, and looks amazing. This is an exceptional pickup.
