1966 Ford Mustang Fastback with 289 V8 AT. DGC2954 VIN 6R09C172954 I bought this Mustang fastback out of California; supposedly, it's always lived in California? It turned out to be a pretty nice fastback. When I bought it, it had strange racing seats or something. They were hard to get in and out of, and they weren't comfortable, so we found a set of stock seats that were all rebuilt, reconditioned, and reupholstered in red to match the rest of the car. They look great. The 289 engine runs and drives great. This is not a show car; there are a couple of small issues with the paint, but not much. There's a little bit of rust underneath. It has LED headlights. The carpets are good headliners and good. It's really a pretty decent interior. The 289 engine runs very well, and it has a recent new Edelbrock carburetor and an Edelbrock intake manifold. It has an aluminum radiator for better cooling. How's the dual exhaust system? The body and paint are very good. It has style steel wheels that are painted black with BFGoodrich radio T/A-like almost new tires. It has a console and the GT-style clock and tachometer on the steering column. I bought a brand-new radio, and we had to add a new speaker as your old one didn't work either. The speedometer is Dakota RetroTech Digital instrument system. The mustang was repainted white. We've had it all service and safety checked, and it's ready to enjoy.
The Ford Mustang was first introduced in 1964 and quickly became an iconic American muscle car. The 1966 model year saw several updates and refinements over the previous year, including improved interior features and engine options. Fastbacks, with their sleek, sporty design, became particularly popular during this era.
