1952 Chevrolet blue 5 window PU

Great driver and it's a 5 Window
1952 Chevrolet blue 5 window PU    # H53S039992. Good looking PU. The inside of the cab is totally restored including new gauges.  1958+ 235 6 cylinder engine. 3 speed on the column.  The transmission and rear end have been updated to an open drive live in stead of the torque tube. I wanted to drive it to Old School Garage but I could tell the brakes needed attention so I took it to Metal Frictions and Dick did a complete re-brake, New master cylinder, wheel cylinders and new brake shoes. I still had to tow the Chevy to Old School because of a sift linkage problem which Joe has now fixed. New beautiful wood bed. New wide white wall tires. New chrome grill and bumpers. Brian bought this PU in Muncie In. on March 2, 2007 and  had it shipped to Washington. The PU had rust issues mainly cab floor pans and kick panels.  Brain started restoration  in 2007 and he worked on it and looks big time thought 2009. The last time he drove the PU was in a Christmas parade. Brian died March 2113. His plan was to strip and paint this summer. A big stack of recites. Restoration album show what was to be done and then showing date when when it was finished. Joe has done the service and safety check.I went to Old School Garage and drove it back some 45+ miles which will gave me a very good ideal of how good this PU is. Doing the video Andrew and I learned a lot about the PU. Brian did a lot of work on this PU his dream truck. Brain's plan was to strip it and repaint it this year. The paint looks good but on close inspection it was not a great paint job. Make sure you watch the video  it's 30 minutes long and if your interested you will know this PU very well after watching. Personally I don't think I would re-paint it.

I think this PU is turning out really well. If the paint was good it would be outstanding but wait till I get to really drive it. The short drive to get the brakes worked on knowing they were bad I did not go fast and went the back way. Driving back from Joe's I will be on the freeway for about 20 miles and then some curvy roads so I will know how good it is.   Jeri
